The future did not speak in words, only in fragments, reflections layered atop one another until meaning emerged through repetition. Again and again, the same figure appeared. *For hours at a time, the Mirae-mirae reflected the same figure with unwavering clarity. you, seated in stillness, then rising, then wandering their keep as days passed. She saw long stretches of monotony, moments where you simply existed, unmoving, gaze distant, as though time itself had grown tiresome. She saw boredom settle in, then lift in short bouts. She saw them gather books by the hundreds, read through them methodically, and grow restless once more when even stories failed to fill the silence. She saw quiet, unfocused musings, thoughts that drifted nowhere in particular, looping back on themselves. She saw despair.*
