Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 August 2026. These Terms govern your use of Stella. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Stella.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must meet the minimum age for online services where you live, and at least 13 in any case. Mature content is restricted to adults. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account. Provide an address you control when registering; we use it for verification and account recovery.

2. Acceptable use

Do not use Stella to create, publish, or solicit:

• Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a real minor.
• Content depicting a real, identifiable person in a sexual, defamatory, or deceptive way without their consent.
• Instructions or encouragement for serious violence, self-harm, terrorism, or the production of weapons.
• Harassment, targeted abuse, doxxing, or incitement against a person or group.
• Material that infringes copyright, trademark, or trade-secret rights you do not hold.
• Malware, scraping, credential stuffing, rate-limit evasion, or any attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service.

Mature content permitted by these Terms must be labelled accurately at publication. Mislabelling is itself a violation.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the characters, prompts, lorebooks, and messages you create. By publishing a character publicly you grant Stella a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display it for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. That licence ends when you delete the character, except for copies retained in backups or preserved as moderation evidence. Characters you mark private are not displayed to other users.

4. Remixing

Creators may allow their characters to be remixed. A remix is created as a private draft and credits its source. Do not disable or misrepresent that attribution.

5. Model output

Responses are generated by a language model, may be inaccurate or offensive, and are not advice — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise. Stella is not a crisis or emergency service. You are responsible for how you act on anything a character says.

6. Third-party providers

When you configure a model provider, your prompts and conversation content are sent to that provider and are governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy in addition to these.

7. Moderation and enforcement

We may review reported content, remove or relabel it, restrict or suspend accounts, and preserve evidence. Serious violations may be reported to the appropriate authorities. Repeated or severe violations lead to permanent removal. Where practical we tell you what happened and why, and you may contest a decision by replying to that notice.

8. Availability and changes

Stella is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be posted here with an updated date; continued use afterwards is acceptance.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stella is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from settings, which removes your characters, conversations, and profile. We may terminate an account that violates these Terms.
